How quickly will I get meetup and delivery options?

You’ll typically receive options within 10-30 minutes, but it can sometimes take a bit longer. This is because each item is stored and managed by a local Sella rep who might be driving, sleeping, hiking, or otherwise unable to respond right away.

How long will the item stay reserved for?

Assuming everything goes smoothly, the item will stay reserved for you until you buy it! The only time a reservation expires is when you flake on your meetup time or if we text you about next steps and don’t hear back for several hours (or longer). When either happens, we assume you are no longer interested and expire your reservation.

My reservation expired. What should I do?

Don’t panic! If the item is still available, just reserve it again and we’ll find you new options for meetup and/or delivery.

How does delivery work?

If you choose delivery, a Sella rep will deliver the item to your front door, just like an Instacart or Amazon delivery.

Delivery cost is based on how far the item needs to travel, which makes sense because someone will need to pick up the item from the local Sella rep storing it, and then drive it to your place to drop it off. If you're interested in delivery, we'll need your address up front so we can send you an accurate quote.

A few other good-to-knows about delivery are that delivery fees are nonrefundable and we do require payment upfront. But unlike when you typically buy via Craigslist, your Sella purchases are backed by our 3-day money-back guarantee

How do meetups work?

If you'd rather meet up to buy an item in person, simply reserve it, and then we’ll respond ASAP with times so you can choose the one that works best for you. After you choose a meetup time, the item will be reserved for you and no one else will be able to buy it.

Can you meet me in the middle?

Sorry, no. Our Sella reps manage a lot of items, so it would be pretty inconvenient (and expensive!) for them to drive all over town meeting with potential buyers. And even though we know that you would never flake, some people do. In that case, who should pay for the 45 minute round trip to bring an item to a no-show? The seller? That hardly seems fair.

If the meetup location we offer doesn’t work for you, we encourage you to consider delivery. Remember — purchases are backed by our 3-day money-back guarantee so there's plenty of time to inspect and test your item once it's delivered.

Do you accept cash? What about credit?

For meetups, you can pay with cash when you arrive or you can pre-pay via credit/debit. For delivery, we do require prepayment, so a credit or debit card is required.
